Full Job Description

We are looking for a content + communication specialist to write eye-catching content that explains and sells our services to attract new business. Plain put, we are a rapidly growing company with a constantly evolving online platform, but we lack the person to communicate our services to the market. We are looking for a swiss-army knife who not only can write content that explains what our services are, but why others need them. The types of content you’ll be writing include a mixture of new functionality announcements, sales and marketing pieces, as well as how-to documentation.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has a wide and deep set of content writing and sales/marketing skills who’s looking to get out of an agency or work for a small company, where you will play a large part in our overall success. This is a full-time work from home position where you will have a lot of freedom, but we need a flexible, versatile, and talented professional who can deliver results quickly. You’ll be part of a tight-knit, small, rapidly-growing advertising, marketing, and technology services company that has been around since 1958.

Your role and responsibilities:

– Get to know our entire SaaS based Dealer Management System inside and out.

– Works closely with our technology and sales team to understand the value of new features and services that are being implemented and to write and prepare communication pieces with our design team.

– Create compelling, actionable email newsletter copy for our new features and announcements that makes the reader want to learn more.

– Create announcement (press release-like) articles and content for other websites to share our new features and announcements.

– Revise and create new content for our website that sells our services.

– Create content for our knowledge base helping people understand how to use our services.

– Create content for videos marketing/showcasing our services.

– Participates in client demos and walkthroughs to understand our clients’ needs and to reveal opportunities for impactful content creation.

– Help provide copywriting for various projects, such as trade shows, print materials, etc. as needed.

– Write SEO-based articles and guest posts.

– Provide the voice-over, for how-to videos as part of our help section, using Camtasia or similar tool.

– Provide walkthroughs and demos to prospective clients about how to do certain tasks within our system via GoToMeeting.

– Ability to quickly learn new digital marketing tools/techniques/skills in order to bring new ideas and services to clients.

Requirements:

– Must be a superb copywriter with proven expertise in creating successful content, whether that be marketing and sales content, press releases, web copy, or documentation.

– Ability to articulate content strategy and communicate well with our internal team as well as externally with our clients.

– Preferred: Experience and knowledge in writing web content that is search engine optimized, that isn’t spammy, but smart in its use of headlines, bullet-points, and keywords that can help make a page rank.

– Preferred: Experience and knowledge using tools that help research and write search engine optimized content.

– Preferred: Experience with Mailchimp or similar email marketing software, including creating campaigns and designing professional responsive emails.
