ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Willfully take “ownership” of Shur-Co’s sales and profitability growth in a geographic territory

To communicate with the Service Center Manager in their respective region, or regions, as to the direct impact of needs, and timing issues of their sales, and coordinate with that Manager, any needs for service and support, through that Service Center. (Installations, shipping dates, etc.)

  • Communication as needed via. phone, e-mail, or fax.
  • Relay gathered intelligence
  • Inform Manager of sales, potential sales, problems, and successes that have occurred, or will occur in that Service Center
  • Account for any new customers and sales figures produced through their direct efforts and show confirmation of these reported sales with customer numbers and sales dollars generated on the form provided.
  • Identify any needs a customer has that we do not supply at this time and report directly to the supervisor. (Identification of new products or services)
  • Work with, and communicate with, the OEM specialist on the “team’s” objectives for specifically assigned OEM’s.
  • Handle all warranty claims when in the field, promptly and through the proper channels and procedures.
  • Be active in the quest to sell excess capacity
  • Maintain data base (laptop)
  • Assure regular maintenance of Shur-Co, LLC’s vehicle and equipment and be able to travel as required to achieve all goals

Mechanical Technician

Pinnacle Trailer Sales seeks a well-balanced, team-oriented, experienced mechanical technician with MIG welding experience for a full-time position. The work consists of but is not limited to trailer (Class 8 trailers) repairs; structural, electrical repairs, suspension, body work, brakes, tarp systems, and wreck repairs. About the position:

Complete repairs and maintenance on semi-trailers to ensure all required FHWA standards are met. Duties will include working off a work order to diagnose, pull correct trailer parts, accomplish the work required to get the trailer back into operating status, as well as perform FHWA inspections.

Some common repairs performed are door repairs, ABS repairs, lights, air-controlled valves, wheel end service, brakes, collision repairs, welding and light fabrication, roof replacement and repair, landing legs, crossmembers, inner wall and floor repairs, lift axle installs, suspension bushing and alignment, skirt and nose cone installs, and king pin repairs.

Schedule is day shift Monday–Friday.

Must have own tools. Crossroads Trailer Sales & Service, Inc. has tool purchase assistance available.

Compensation:

Based on experience, starting at $20.

Bonus eligible.

Education, Experience, and Licensing:
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, trailer mechanics and diagnosing and welding.
Ability to safely operate a forklift and lift.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
Seldom periods of stationary work documenting repairs.
Prolonged periods working on trailers, constant movement and use of limbs.

Must have valid drivers license, Class B preferred. Frequent travel required.
