Outside Sales Southwest Territory

Felling Trailers Inc. is a nationally recognized top line industrial and commercial full-line trailer manufacturer that has been providing innovative trailer solutions to the transportation industry for over 45 years. We are searching for a driven Sales Professional who is interested in growing professionally and financially by representing our products to new and existing dealers/customers. Reporting to Sales Manager, the region includes but is not limited to: CA, NV, AZ, & NM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Increase sales with our existing dealer base and develop new dealers in the assigned territory providing training and product support.
  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of all Felling Trailer lines, their specifications, options and features.
  • Fields calls/e-mails from dealers & customers and responds to their questions in a timely manner.
  • Consults with Sales Manager, Sales Coordinator, and Engineering on the design and build of custom trailers.
  • Participates in trade shows as needed and provides input to management on the value of trade shows.
  • Three years trailer industry experience needed. The position is home office based with extensive travel, 70% of the time, throughout the assigned region. Because of this we prefer that the selected individual resides within the SW territory. Sales territory management and market knowledge, as well as previous trailer sales experience is strongly preferred.

Brandt

Territory Manager – Trailer

Brandt is currently seeking a Territory Manager – Trailers for the Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma market. This position is responsible for developing, managing and supporting sustained and profitable growth in sales of trailers, including heavy haul, specialty, utility and other products. The successful candidate will be responsible to maximize the sales, market share, and profitability in the given geographical area.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • First line of contact for the Dealers to Attract, signup and Grow the strongest trailer dealers in the region.
  • Participate with Regional Sales Managers in development and implementing plans for growing Brandt sales with Brandt Trailer dealers.
  • Aid the sales team in achieving Brandt’s product sales growth by providing a high level of product, application, industry, customer and competitor knowledge.
  • Coordinate and participate in delivering ongoing local product knowledge and application training for dealer sales teams as scheduled.
  • Driving Sales for Brandt Heavy Haul Trailers through key dealers working with our attachment division but also looking at the region marketplace and determine the best dealer/sales channel for Brandt Heavy Haul Trailers.
  • Identify product development opportunities that promote differentiation, enhance market penetration, and deliver increased profit opportunities for Brandt.
  • Assist product line asset management goals on turns and aging as well as protection of company assets.
  • Participate in end customer visits with the sales teams as required.
  • Extensive travel throughout the region network sometimes alongside Brandt’s attachment sales teams.
  • Ensure Dealers are educated on all aspects of Brandt Sales, Service and Finance.
  • Assist in coordinating trade shows and attending trade shows in their territory.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Trailers especially heavy haul trailers.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of sales and/or product or technical support knowledge and experience in heavy construction and forestry equipment working with manufacturers and/or dealers.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills are necessary.
  • Knowledge of Trailer dealers would also be an asset.
  • Capable of basic computer skills, excel spreadsheets, outlook etc.
  • Aggressive team player, people person, self-starter and motivated towards goals.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.

Trailer Mechanics

Our well-established semitrailer dealership is looking for energetic, self-motivated and experienced trailer mechanics to join our team in Aurora, IL.

Primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Inspect, diagnose and perform mechanical repairs related to electrical and other defects on flatbed and van semi-trailers
  • Industrial and fabrication repairs; a basic knowledge of air brakes, axles and suspensions is preferred
  • Knowledge in adjusting and replacing brakes, suspensions, alignments, and basic knowledge of air systems is a plus
  • Ability to perform refrigeration unit inspections and repairs is a plus
  • Basic knowledge and experience with welding steel and aluminum is preferred
  • Request parts necessary to complete work tickets
  • Complete paperwork and documentation for repairs and inspections (per DOT requirements)

Qualification Requirements:

  • Must be mechanically inclined and/or have strong handy skills

  • Commitment to listen and follow instructions; deadline and detail oriented

Transport Services is seeking an experienced professional to add to our already outstanding group of mechanical technicians.  The position is a Mobile Semi Trailer Mechanic\Technician for our Service Division in Columbus, Ohio.

A SUCCESSFUL MOBILE SEMI-TRAILER MECHANIC/TECHNICIAN IS RESPONSIBLE FOR:

The primary function will be completing semi trailer repairs and maintenance on the road in one of our fully-equipped service trucks. The mobile mechanic/technicians may also perform some work in shop, as required.

REQUIREMENTS OF A MOBILE SEMI-TRAILER MECHANIC/TECHNICIAN

This is a first shift, hourly/non-exempt position

Requirements & Considerations:

  • 1+ years of applicable trailer mechanics or diesel mechanics experience
  • Demonstrate diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs
  • Must provide own tools
  • Self-motivated
  • Hard-working
  • Reliable
  • Works well with others.
  • Must be able to read and write
  • Occasionally move parts and/or materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
  • Must be able to bend
  • Must be able to use power tools
  • May be required to work more than 8 hours during a workday.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Welding/fabrication experience
  • Commercial Driver’s License
  • ASE certifications
  • Diesel/Truck repair experience
  • Electrical/Refrigeration experience.

THE LOCATION

The Columbus branch of Transport Services operates a Service Division including an 11-bay service shop and a state-of-the-art body shop that services commercial fleet semi trailers and diesel trucks. We specialize in everything from regular maintenance to custom fabrication to major collision repairs. The Service Division works in tandem with our on-site Rental, Sales, and Parts Divisions.
