FTR Extends Early Bird Pricing Through July 16 for In-Person Attendance at their 17th Annual Transportation Conference – Sept. 13-17

FTR has extended Early Bird pricing through July 16 to register for in-person attendance at their 17th Annual Transportation Conference – being held in Indianapolis Sept. 13-17.

About the Conference

The pandemic has unraveled the commercial freight industry leaving sector businesses to pick up the pieces and try to understand what will return to the way things were prior to 2020 and what will become the “new normal.”  Attendees to the FTR Annual Transportation Conference will benefit from the combined power of reliable forecasts, an entire panel of FTR experts and the most respected thought leaders in all segments of transportation to gain great insight to help them manage their businesses through this unprecedented time.

In 2021 FTR has arranged the conference with specific modal focus so attendees can safely join and network in person with separate tracks for truck and rail.

Truck Track – Sept. 13-14 Two days of truck-specific content. The FTR team and a host of industry thought leaders examine every corner of the trucking market.

Sept. 13 – Truck Equipment:
A must-attend event for any organization needing to stay ahead of the supply chain disruptions impacting the commercial vehicle and trailer industry. This session is imperative for CV suppliers, OEMs, trailer builders, fleets, equity analysts, brokers, shippers, and any organizations who rely on accurate market-sizing of Class 4-8 vehicles and trailers for their business.

Sept. 14 – Truck Freight
A full day of content devoted to the capacity crunch, driver shortage, freight demand, spot market rates, the newly evolved world of contract rates, and more. This session is recommended for any trucking industry participants who rely on a fundamental understanding of the trajectory of the truck market.

Rail Track – Sept. 15-16

Two days of content devoted to rail industry participants. The Rail Track will focus on the pandemic’s impact on the rail industry.  Presenters will focus on the demand for new rail cars and scrapping expectations, while the other day will focus on the issues impacting freight demand and rate expectations across the rail networks.

Sept. 15 – Rail Freight
A focus on the modal shifts occurring within the industry and whether the newly acquired rail market share is sustainable or whether trucking will win it back quickly.  This session is recommended for any rail industry participants who rely on a fundamental understanding of rail and intermodal’s competitiveness to the trucking industry.

Sept. 16 – Rail Equipment
Attendees will develop a deeper understanding of the pandemics’ impact on the demand for new rail cars and how the market is approaching scrappage and retirement now that rising commodity prices have increased to an enticing level. The perfect session for any participants who rely on accurate market sizing, are considering investments in rail cars, or need to understand whether the recent uptick in demand for new cars is here to stay or not.

Sept. 17, Rail Equipment Finance Conference – Fall Update
