Job Title: Inventory Control Manager

Department: Trailer Sales Department

Reports to: Sales Manager

Job Summary: The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for managing all new and used trailer inventory.

Responsibilities: All of the following, plus other duties as assigned.

  • Trailer Moves
    • Coordinate trailer moves from factory/origin to dealership, and dealership to the end-user destination.
    • Keep detailed and organized records using spreadsheet software.
    • Communicate with brokers, carriers, and claim agents regarding all damaged-in-transit claims.
      • Send pics, check-in sheets, estimates and final repair bills
      • Maintain communication with Service Shop to ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner.
    • Receive and code trailer moves freight invoices
  • Trailer Check-Ins
    • Inspect and log all inbound trailer inventory.
  • Input detailed inventory specifications and pictures onto CDK Sales OverDrive Dealer Management System; Keep inventory as live and up-to-date as possible.
  • Maintain up-to-date online inventory marketing databases (currently Truck Paper, Commercial Truck Trader, and MailChimp) on a weekly basis.
  • Perform weekly trailer inventory yard checks on our 8-acre gravel and pavement property located directly outside our office. Golf cart provided.
  • Make sure all inventory stock trailers are properly labeled with stock number stickers.
  • Work with the company’s yard mule driver and Sales Manager to maintain an organized yard and show area.
  • Create temporary license plates for trailers sold.
  • Attend bi-monthly sales meetings with the company President, Sales Manager, Finance Manager, and Sales Representatives.
  • Local travel to other lots where inventory may be stored.

Qualifications: The successful candidate should possess the following knowledge/skills:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and be a self-starter.
  • Must possess strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Excel in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Proficient computer, iPhone, data entry, Microsoft Word/Excel/Google Sheets skills, and email communication
  • Fluency in the English language. Spanish or other second language is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Physical Demands—Employee will be splitting time between sitting at a desk using the computer and walking the 8-acre yard performing inventory checks, checking in and out trailers, helping customers.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Previous trucking/semi-trailer industry/dealership experience is a plus
  • Clean driving record
  • CDL and previous truck driving experience a plus.

Starting pay is $15.00/hour; Monday through Friday; 7:30am-5:00pm; Hour lunch.

POSITION AVAILABLE for Service Technicians to perform quality vehicle maintenance and repair in accordance with dealership and factory quality standards that exceeds expectations in a timely, courteous, trustworthy and fair manner.

Perform complete diagnosis of any mechanical, electrical and other failure of a motor truck and disassemble, overhaul repair, adjust and reassemble units such as engines, differentials, clutches, brakes, electrical systems, fuel systems, etc.; use all tools of the trade such as precision instruments, welding equipment, shop machines and power tools, instruct apprentices as required(it is understood that it is not necessary for an individual employee to be equally competent in all phases of the foregoing work, but he must be capable of performing all phases of the work assigned)

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years technical experience in the medium/heavy-duty truck industry.
  • International Certification within area of expertise required
  • Maintain (or obtain) a valid Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License.
  • Have a high degree of product and technical knowledge.
  • Be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer.
  • Be self-motivated.
  • Conduct his/her self in a professional manner.
  • Be flexible and adapt to change readily.
