The NTDA is once again proud to offer a scholarship for one or more graduating high school seniors whose parent is an employee of an NTDA Dealer, Dealer Branch or Allied member company again in 2018. Applications are due July 8, 2018.
The 2018 scholarship is underwritten by Michelin, WABCO, HAVCO Wood Products LLC, East Manufacturing Corp., Transglobal Door, and Pressure Systems International on behalf of the NTDA. Several individuals from Dealer and Allied member companies also contributed to the scholarship program. The NTDA’s Golf Tournament also raises funds to support the program.
Applicants — The number of scholarships offered in a given year is based on the amount of underwriting support received. The corresponding amount of each scholarship will be determined by the NTDA Board of Directors and the Scholarship Judging Committee. Applicant(s) must be a child (natural, adopted, stepchild or legal ward) of an individual that is actively employed by an
NTDA Dealer, Dealer Branch or Allied Member company in good standing at the time of application. The company’s dues must be current. Students may reside in any country in which a member company is located (e.g., U.S., Canada and Mexico). The child must be a graduating high school senior in 2018 who is going into college the same year they graduate. Example: Graduating June 2018; Entering College September 2018.
Criteria — Considerations for all scholarships awarded include academic capability, financial need, personal and school references, participation in school and community activities, and/or work experience.
Supporting Materials — Official transcripts, copies of certificates and original letters of recommendation may be mailed, e-mailed or faxed separately from the student’s Application Form. Those materials may also be uploaded through the online application form located at http://ntda.org/services/scholarship/. It is the responsibility of the applicant to verify that transcripts and are
forwarded by the school, and that letters of recommendation are forwarded by the individual as intended and subsequently received by the deadline at the NTDA. Incomplete or late entries will not be considered. Letters of recommendations may not be supplied by relatives.
Scholarship Conditions — Scholarship recipients must be a full-time student pursuing a course of study toward a degree. Students attending online only classes through non-accredited institutions are not eligible. Scholarship award funds will be dispersed directly to the recipient’s college or university on behalf of the recipient. Each scholarship is a one-time award and is non-renewable.
Scholarship Payments — The scholarship (s) will only be awarded to the student(s) after he or she has successfully completed one quarter/semester a an accredited, degree granting college or university. The student must provide a copy of his or her college report card to the NTDA for verification. Student must provide his or her student ID number and the address/office at the college
or university where the check should be sent. Failure to comply may result in delayed payment.
