The National Trailer Dealers Association (NTDA) Board of Directors recently held an election to determine its Executive Committee for 2018–2019.
John Princing, President of Scientific Brake & Equipment in Saginaw, MI will serve as 2018–2019 Chairman of the Board.
Joel Hought, Trailer Sales Manager, Northwest Truck & Trailer (Fargo, ND) will serve as 2018–2019 First Vice Chairman.
Geoff Reid, Regional Director for Hendrickson (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) will serve as 2018–2019 Second Vice Chairman.
Richard Bloomquist, President, North Central Utility of Wisconsin LLC (Madison, WI) will serve as 2018–2019 Treasurer.
Gwendolyn Brown serves as President of the NTDA.
MEMBERS RETIRING FROM THE BOARD
Two members will step down from the NTDA Board of Directors. Current NTDA Chairman of the Board Dale Martens, VP – Sales, American Trailer & Storage (Kansas City, MO); and current Treasurer Jamey Vaughn, President, Twin State Trailers (Charlotte, NC) will retire in October 2018. The new Executive Committee will be installed during the 28th Annual NTDA Convention, Oct. 3–5, 2018 at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, CO. NTDA members will hold an election in July to fill vacancies left by Martens and Vaughn. Nominations are currently sought for two Dealer members and are due no later than May 31, 2018.
NTDA SEEKS TWO DEALER CANDIDATES FOR 2018–2019 BOARD
Nominations are sought to fill two Dealer openings on the 2018–2019 NTDA Board of Directors. Elected members will begin their three-year terms of service at the Oct. 3, 2018 Board meeting that will be held during the 28th Annual NTDA Convention at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, CO. Eligible candidates may nominate themselves or fellow individuals employed by member companies in good standing. The NTDA Board of Directors is composed of 12 members, nine elected from the Dealer membership and three elected from the Allied membership. In October 2018, Chairman of the Board Dale Martens (Dealer Director), and Treasurer Jamey Vaughn (Dealer Director) will retire from the Board.
To qualify as a nominee for Director of the Association, a candidate must either be the Chief Executive Officer or Chief Operating Officer, an officer, or other senior management position. The Board of Directors may choose to waive the position requirement. Further, to qualify, a nominee must be an NTDA Dealer or Allied Member in good standing for a minimum of two years (24
months) and have attended at least one Annual Convention of the Association. See the NTDA Bylaws for complete details and requirements.
