Keep your eye on the Will Rogers Memorial Shrien of the Sun on the flanks of Cheyenne Mountain. According to golf great Tom Watson, the main thing is keeping the ball on the other side of the flagstick from the monument because putts tend to break away from the monument on nearly every green.
Two-time Masters champion Bernhard Langer recommends on the East Course, that you shoot in front, rather than at or above the pin to set yourself up for a more forgiving putt.
Golf Director Russ Miller says, “Always keep the hole between your ball and the mountain, which will always ensure an uphill putt (even if it doesn’t appear to be uphill).
Some say the West course is actually a more course challenging than the East because of the tree lines.
